Cultivating Wisdom through Inquiry 

June 18-19th 2022

A non-Residential Weekend Workshop at Sangsurya, Byron Bay June 18-19th with Radha Nicholson and Karuna Fielden.

 

The weekend will focus on inquiry into direct experience and include periods of sitting and walking meditation with instructions, working with inquiry questions, dharma talks and individual inquiry sessions.

 

There will be periods of silence but the retreat will be interactive. It will not be silent the entire time.

 

The retreat commences at 9.00 am and ends at 4.00 pm each day.

An Insight Meditation Retreat

The retreat is a silent Insight Meditation Retreat. Each day there will be an instruction period, a dharma talk and an inquiry session as well as an evening program of guided meditation or meditative listening. All four postures, sitting, walking, standing and reclining will be used and explored. The emphasis is on insight into the nature of direct experience. The themes will include impermanence, not-self, release from suffering, the emptiness teachings and cultivating a peaceful loving heart.

 

Cost: Twin Share $850

          Single with ensuite $1200

          Van site $600

          Concession: $650 for shared room with with external bathroom

The Wisdom of the Way  

26 August to September 1 2022

A 6 day residential retreat

 

Venue: Sangsurya Meditation Centre, Byron Bay

 

Teachers: Ellen Davison and Radha Nicholson

 

The retreat is a Silent Insight Meditation Retreat with attention to the four postures, walking, sitting, standing and reclining meditation. There will be meditation instructions and a dharma talk daily. On alternate days there will be Inquiry with Radha and Guided Meditation with Ellen. The evening program will include reclining meditation, metta (loving-kindness) practice and meditation on deep listening.

 

Cost for food and accommodation: $530 - $1100

 

The teachers are supported by your kind offering of Dana, a monetary donation. This is a Kuan Yin Meditation Centre event.

The retreat will focus on freeing the heart and mind through inquiry into direct experience. Each day will include meditation instructions, a dharma talk, inquiry periods and an evening program. There will be attention to the four postures, sitting, walking, reclining and standing meditation. It is a silent Insight Meditation Retreat. Bay Insight Weekly Meditation Group Byron Bay

Each Wednesday Evening Bay Insight Meditation meet at Bamboo Yoga, Bangalow Road from 7.00-8.30 pm. There is a sitting, short dharma talk and inquiry together. The evening is supported by donation.
