One of the most difficult aspects of practice in daily life is skillful speech and action when reactive emotions arise. Through mindfulness of body we will investigate and bring insight to patterns and habits that get in the way of skilful communication and action.

Insight Meditation Retreat 

Cultivating Wisdom In The Face of Climate Change

5th – 12th June 2020

Teachers: Subhana Barzaghi and Carol Perry

Venue: 'Sangsurya', Byron Bay

 

The unique retreat format encourages exploration of the ways that ancient wisdom practices nourish an ecological and social consciousness.


The retreat will focus on restorative practices that prepare you to face challenges with compassion, wisdom and inspiration and find creative, non-dualistic strategies for wise action in the world. Through the cultivation of mindfulness, gratitude and deep listening we can awaken our hearts to the intimacy of interconnectedness and nurture the capacity to honour our joy and pain for our world. By embracing not knowing and building resilience we can see with new eyes and go forth with wise and compassionate action.

 

The schedule includes; sitting & walking meditation periods, daily meditation instructions, interactive experiential group exercises, open inquiry sessions and Dharma talks. There will also be one-on-one interviews with teachers, and time for discussion and sharing experiences.

Open Heart, Open Mind Retreat
Strathbogie Ranges, Victoria
16th - 23rd October 2020

Teachers: Carol Perry & Angela McGee

These retreats are based on periods of sitting and walking meditation, usually around 45 minutes each. There will also be two optional, gentle yoga classes, a meditation instruction period, and a dharma talk, each day. There is potential to rest throughout the day and there are regular small group and private interviews with the teachers.

A Celebration of the Dharma and Women's Wisdom

When: 9:30am - 3:00pm, 3rd Sunday of each month

Where: Possum Creek Retreat Centre

 

Come and join a gentle exploration of women’s inner lives. The day will offer guided and silent meditation, short dharma topic, inquiry and shared lunch. The meetings aim to evolve according to the needs of the participants.
